About Me
Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I paint, I'm putting a part of me on the the canvas. My intense desire to create something beautiful is what drives my creative process. I love being an artist and I absolutely love sharing my creations with those who connect with my art.
I work in multiple paint mediums including watercolor and gouache, but I paint most of my fine art using oil and acrylic. My heart lies with portraits, landscapes, and florals!
Pattern design entered my life more recently, and I have since added that skill to my profession. I find so much satisfaction in designing feminine and floral patterns. It's an honor to license my paintings and patterns to companies in many different industries.
My husband and I met during college in Provo, Utah. We were married in 2008 and now have three lovely children. My family lies at the heart of everything I do. Building an art business with my children around me is a wild ride and an enormous blessing, and I'm so grateful that I get to be home with them while pursuing my dreams as an artist.
When I'm not creating art or working on my business, I'm homeschooling my kids, baking cookies and sourdough bread, jogging, reading, serving in my church, and enjoying life with my family.
Along with my paintings, I design elegant, yet modern patterns for products like fabric, wallpaper, stationery, and more. I currently have designs licensed with Loomwell, Kate and Laurel, Carriage House Printery, and more. I also create custom work for clients.
I'm first and foremost a painter. I paint regularly, adding to my collection of original artwork available in my portfolio. I offer custom commissions on occasion.
My YouTube channel is a place where I teach how to create art and inspire other artists to pursue their passion that is both fulfilling, and has the potential to become an income. I want to show artists what is possible with their art. Online art courses are on the horizon.
